Apple has set a launch date for the iPhone 15 line on September 12th. The smartphones will be presented at an event at the company’s headquarters in the United States, with a global webcast at 2pm (Brasilia time).
At the event, Apple will present four mobile phone models, as usual. The highlight of this year’s release is that all versions of the iPhone 15 must be equipped with a USB-C port for the first time. The change will come after standardization requirements from the European Union.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known for predicting information from Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Prox Max phones will have higher data transfer rates than the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus phones. In terms of charging, all models must be compatible with 35W ratings.
iPhone 15: changes in design
According to information from analyst Ross Young, all models in the iPhone 15 line will come with Dynamic Island. The feature was launched on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max last year, and it ushered in a new format on smartphones, with its bean-shaped notch. This year, the resource must be present in all models of the line.
In addition to this change, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max phones are supposed to be launched with a titanium frame and thinner sides. The models should also hit the market at a higher price than last year. The iPhone 15 Pro Max version, which could also be launched as iPhone 15 Ultra, should be the only version in the lineup that arrives with a periscope lens with up to six times optical zoom.
Another design change is that the physical button that puts iPhones into silent mode has to be replaced with another button. This change will also only come to the most advanced models in the iPhone 15 line.
