Preventive check-ups for women in USFs will be conducted next Tuesdays
The month of March is dedicated to women’s health as well as the March Lilac campaign that directs prevention, awareness and control of cervical cancer. In ICARA, the Department of Health, through Primary Care, is setting up hours-long appointments to interview women who have had a preventive examination, also known as a Pap smear, over two years late. Next Tuesday, March 15, 22 and 29, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., all family health units will have a multidisciplinary team to receive women who need to undergo screening, HPV vaccination, among other female health requirements.
For service, prior appointment is required, all dates are available, just find your health unit. “We decided to extend working hours so that we could consider those women who are unable to go to USF due to working during working hours.
