  2. Increase fluid consumption
    It may seem contradictory to drink plenty of fluids when you feel bloated, but the truth is that drinking more water and tea helps get rid of excess sodium in your urine, which causes bloating.
  3. Eat diuretic foods
    Coconut water, coffee, green tea, black tea, and hibiscus tea, as well as bananas, grapes, pumpkin, beets, and cucumbers, are diuretic foods. To help with fluid and sodium retention, a person should eat foods that help produce urine.
  4. Focus on anti-inflammatory nutrition
    Post-holiday malaise can also be caused by inflammation in the body. The advice is to focus on foods such as fish rich in omega-3, pineapple, broccoli, ginger, lemon and saffron.
  5. Avoid foods high in sodium
    Salt is one of the main causes of fluid retention, so it is important to avoid foods rich in salt and processed foods, such as soft drinks and ready-made sauces, as well as smoked meats such as sausages, ham and mortadella.
