Honor confirms the arrival of the world's thinnest new foldable smartphone

Honor proved in 2023 that it can be at the pinnacle of smartphone innovation with the launch of the thinnest and lightest foldable phone on the market. And that new design continues now that the brand has confirmed the launch date for the new models.

Through the social network Weibo, the brand revealed that it will present the new equipment on July 12. “We invite you to witness the most powerful, finest and most technological magic” is the phrase that hints at the bet.

This post also comes with a side and back view of the device. It's meant to show how slim this device is, but it's also a significant design change.

Honor Magic V3 with Magic6 Pro camera design

In the previous generation, the Honor Magic V2 came with a vertically arranged camera module in the upper right corner. Now it is betting on a circular camera module, similar to other brand equipment such as the Magic6 Pro.

The back of the device will also be made of faux leather, here arranged in orange. A very small frame is visible, which, like the camera ring, has a golden hue. Without revealing too much, the first video shows these details in more detail.

Remember that the Magic V2, which won the 4gnews Innovation Award in 2023, was only 4.7mm thick when unfolded and had a 5,000mAh carbon silicon battery. We'll see what Honor has in store for this generation. There's just over a week left until we find out.
