Holiday Problem: – Luggage Shock: – I Can't Fit In!

It was just before the plane was about to take off from Barajas Airport in Madrid, Spain, when Alberto noticed something unusual outside the plane window.

“Just before the plane took off, I noticed two bags left on the tarmac,” the young man told Jam Press.

I got a chin drop.

Alberto, who was on his way to La Manga in Spain with his aunt and grandmother, alerted the traveling group to the sight.

“I said to my aunt, ‘Look, they forgot two bags!’” he says.

Now his aunt got a chin drop.

“It looks like my bag and my grandmother’s bag,” she said.

It turns out her aunt was absolutely right: she had left her purse, her bag, and her grandmother's on the tarmac as the plane was taxiing for takeoff.

smelly goods

As if that weren't enough: Grandma's luggage was, to put it mildly, of the potentially smelly variety:

– There was my grandmother's bag, which contained two kilos of cheese, boiling at 30 degrees Celsius on the runway in Barajas. I can't deal with that!

Although the plane took off without their luggage on board, Alberto says he can see the humor in the situation — and doesn't seem to blame anyone.

The luggage finally arrived, a few days after the scheduled time.

– The bags are back home, and despite all the odds, the cheese is perfectly fine. Alberto says there was also a bag of sweet red peppers and two chorizo sausages that enjoyed the sunshine between planes in Barajas.
