Hockey: Sporting beats Tomar and is in “half” of the tournament

Sporting returned home to SC Tomar, winning 5-1, thus ensuring their qualification to the semi-finals of the National Hockey League.

After winning 3-2 in the first leg, at the Estadio Pavilhão João Rocha, the European champions entered the match in control and at half-time they were ahead by two goals.

The highlight was Henrique Magalhaes' brace, which five minutes from time completed the perfect hand for Alejandro Domínguez's men, who joined FC Porto and Benfica in the next stage of the competition.

The Black and White are now scheduled to meet the Blue and White, on May 30, in the first of a possible five matches, which will determine one of the finalists.

In the other match tonight, OK de Barcelos defeated Oliverense with a score of 2-0, and they tied with a score of (1-1).

Danilo Rampolla and Virinha scored the goals of the second half, giving Minho the victory. The decisive match will take place on Sunday, at 6pm, in Oliveira de Azimes.
