Here's the (secret) reason why Coates is expected to leave Sporting

sEbastian Coates will surprise a large part of Sporting fans on Saturday by announcing his departure from the club after nine years, to return to Nacional de Montevideo, and the main reason is related to his family.

According to the newspaper “A Bola”, the health problem suffered by one of the people close to the family preceded his return to Uruguay, where the 33-year-old central defender had a valid contract with the Lions for another year.

Moreover, the physical management that could have been an obstacle during the season, in addition to the savings of the green and white team in terms of salary, also ended up being other factors that did not constitute an obstacle to his early departure from Alvalade.

Remember that Sebastian Coates excelled at Nacional de Montevideo before arriving in Europe, via Liverpool and then Sunderland only, after going to Sporting in 2015, and later becoming the captain of the Leones, where he played a total of 369 matches.
