“The Board of Directors of Vitoria FC expresses its deep regret for the events that occurred during the match between Vitoria SP and Paredes, which was held on Friday at the Municipal Stadium das Laranjeiras, in Paredes, within the framework of the sixth round of the Portuguese Championship. After being sent off from the bench, in The second half of the match, coach Gil Lameras went to the box designated for the visiting team's staff and the place was quickly invaded by many fans of the home club, who immediately witnessed attacks on the field by the same coach accompanied by insults and threats directed at all the Vitoria FC professionals present.

All of these incidents occurred without Vitoria's club employees receiving the necessary protection from GNR agents or private security guards hired by Paredes.
