Pep Guardiola was a guest on the “Che Tempo Che Fa” program, and among several topics, he discussed his future as Manchester City coach.
Speaking to the Italian program, the “Citizens” coach admitted that he had not yet thought about his future and that “anything could happen” until the end of the season when his contract with the English club expires.
“It is not right for my career to end in Manchester, I have to think about it. anything could happen. I'm a little tired, but I think we all, at the end of the day, enjoy doing what we do. I feel happy,” he began to say.
“England coach? That's not true. If I had made a decision, I would have already informed him, because I haven't decided anything yet,” Guardiola added.
Furthermore, the coach discussed winning the coveted treble, with Manchester City, in the 2022/23 season. With laughter and some emotion in the mix, Guardiola said he was “very good” and praised Lionel Messi, the best player of all time.
“I was in three very good and very strong teams, including Barcelona, which is a team close to my heart. It's very useful to know someone like Messi, but for me, it's easy because he's the best player ever. Maybe it's a lack of respect for Pele or Maradona, but I couldn't imagine the longevity of either of them.”
