From now on, you can use your Gemini to create reminders and tasks. So Google is working to integrate this model as a useful tool on your smartphone.
Many of the options already present in Google Assistant are still missing in Gemini, which sometimes causes some confusion in the user experience. But with this boost to Google Tasks, another step has been taken.
Use Gemini to set reminders in Google Tasks
When you need to create a reminder, just ask Gemini directly. It will use Google Assistant to assign it in the Google Tasks app and even enter the corresponding dates and times.
Imagine you have a driving test scheduled for next week. Simply ask Gemini to “Create a reminder for your test drive on Wednesday at 10 AM” and the reminder will be automatically set in your Google account.
The rollout is gradual for everyone
At the moment, this new feature has only reached some users. It may happen that you still receive an error message or wrong OK to confirm the operation. But it certainly won't be long before this integration becomes available to everyone. To take advantage of this feature, remember that you will need to install the Google Tasks application on your cell phone.
This gradual launch clearly reveals the dedication Google is putting into developing Gemini. Who knows if in the future we will have a good alternative to the current Google Assistant in this system.
