ERSE (Energy Services Regulatory Authority) published this Tuesday “The Weekly Report on Supervision of Sales Prices to the Public of Simple 95 Gasoline and Simple Diesel”, with data for the week of August 12 to September 18, 2022
The specific values for the week under analysis are: 1725 EUR / liter for regular 95 gasoline and 1930 EUR / liter for regular diesel.
The ERSE says that “in relation to the previous week, it was found that the average general selling prices posted on the gates, which were reported in Balcão Único da Energia, were 3.7 cents/liter above the effective price for that week, per canister of 95 petrol and 3.1 cent / liter lower in the case of the simple diesel.In percentage terms, the simple 95 gasoline was declared on the bridges as 2.1% above the effective price and the simple diesel was declared 1.6% below the effective price.
The Petroleum Products Tax (ISP) for September was published in Decree No. 164-A/2022, dated June 24, which amounts to €0.31606/liter and €0.16280/liter for regular 95 gasoline and regular diesel, respectively. The ISP applied to 95 simple petrol and simple diesel is unchanged from last week’s value.
Order 217-B/2022 of August 31 remains in effect until October 2, without prejudice to any new valuation over the next month depending on price trends, and also confirms that successive updates from the ISP represent a reduction of 21.1 cents per liter for gasoline and 18 cents per liter for diesel.
For the week of September 12-18, the effective pre-tax price is €0.945/liter for regular 95 petrol and €1236/liter for regular diesel. After taxes, the effective price is €1,725/liter and €1,930/liter for regular 95 petrol and regular diesel, respectively.
The effective price is the average weekly rate set by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) and determined by the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets, ocean freight and core logistics, including in this segment retains the strategic and safety aspects of the national petroleum system, and additional costs with the integration of biofuels and the retail component plus related taxes.
The effective price recorded an update, compared to last week, of -0.9% for gasoline and +0.1% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation in international prices for simple 95 gasoline at -2.0% and simple diesel at +0.1%. .
With regard to discount prices, that is, at supermarket and hypermarket pumps, published by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG), the 95th simple gasoline showed a deviation of -1.6% from the effective price, and the simple diesel – 5.7%. In absolute numbers, these estimates are for the simple petrol 95 at -2.8 cents/l, and for the simple diesel at -10.5 cents/l below the respective effective prices.
