Gas. Price correction bottle sellers

And sellers of gas bottles corrected the prices that did not match what was stipulated by a government certificate specifying these values, according to the National Authority for the Energy Sector (ENSE), which returned yesterday to inspect the activity.

After conducting the first inspection on Tuesday, in which it found “high non-compliance” in 23.4% of outlets, the entity again carried out “108 inspections, in Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Santarém and Évora, and in the municipalities of Cascais, Oeiras and Sintra in the province of Lisbon, with its activity focused on gas stations, supermarkets/supermarkets and other retail trade.”

In this second examination, ENSE found “seven irregularities (corresponding to 6.5% of the actions carried out) in sales prices (from €0.36 to €3.39 for T3 bottles and €6.92 for T5 bottles) of this type of product. But he left a guarantee: “Among these actions, he found, in general, the correction of non-conforming prices, that is, in connection with the overpayments charged in several supermarkets of the same brand.”

Maximum prices for a bottle of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), set by the government, came into effect on Tuesday and represent savings of approximately €3.2 per bottle of butane weighing 13kg.
