The Display industry analyst Ross Young has returned with new information regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which indicates that the flexible screen (inner) and external screen will be wider than those of its predecessor.
In addition to the screen, Young also noted that Samsung decided to change the design of the hinge design of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. In the new phone, Samsung adopted a design to reduce “crease” in the flexible screen, something that has already been done by other companies on their foldable phones.
The analyst has already said that Samsung intends to start production of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in July, commissioned double units which was commissioned from its predecessors in 2021.
This large number of units at launch indicates that Samsung expects the phones to do better, something that seems more likely at an “attractive” price.
It appears that the aspect ratio on both the lid and the main screen could be wider. It is rumored that the hinge design has changed. I’m not sure if it’s a drop in shape which reduces frizz or not. Water and dust resistance are also key to them which are not yet available on water drop hinges.
