Frederico Varandas re-elected Sporting president by wide margin

Frederico Varandas was re-elected on Saturday as Sporting’s president. The captain will run the current National Champion for another term, this 2022-2025 triennium.

Varandas won the A-list by a large margin of 85.6%. Nono Souza from List C came second in these elections with a majority of 1,335 votes, or 7.3%. Ricardo Oliveira of List B came last with 415 votes, equivalent to 2.95%. In this election, 14,795 members voted, down from the 22,510 registered members in 2018.
