The Nigerian international returns to Portuguese football after representing Porto in the 2018/2019 season.

Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakkale, 25, is the latest signing of Desportivo de Chávez, coming from Spaniard Ponferradina.

Born in Owerri, Kelechi Noakale arrived in Chavez after an agreement between SAD Transmontana and Ponferradina in Spain, where he played 37 matches and scored a goal last season.

The Nigerian international returns to Portuguese football after representing Porto in the 2018/19 season on loan from Arsenal, where he trained.

“It’s time to play again in Portugal and represent the club in the best way,” stressed the footballer in a video that the Trás-os-Montes logo posted on social networks.

Kelechi Noakale added that he wanted to “bring more quality to the team” so he could “achieve goals”.

For the new season, Desportivo de Chávez also includes midfielders Ricardo Guema and Pedro Pinho (ex-Sanguanense), defenders Sandro Cruz (ex-Benfica), Bruno Rodríguez (ex-Sporting de Braga), Guilherme Ferreira (ex-Juventud de Piedras Salgadas) and Ligor Nogueira (ex-) ).
