In recent days, residents of the region have been able to see huge columns of smoke rising from the jungle in the mountains to the northeast of Tenerife.
The smoke is several kilometers in the air the authorities.
The newspaper wrote that 150 people had been evacuated from several villages due to the forest fires La Provincia.
Nearby residents, who have not yet been evacuated, are being asked to stay indoors and close windows.

The flames now cover an area of 2,600 hectares, according to reports local broadcaster in the Canary Islands.
It is especially the areas high in the mountains where it is difficult for the fire brigade to reach.
Unable to control the fire
The head of the regional government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, held a press conference on Wednesday about the fire.
– Not exactly positive, said Clavijo.
– The fire is out of control. Throughout the day, firefighters worked to extinguish the forest fire from two sides. We could not control the fire.

Several villages have been evacuated
The fire spread over a steep area.
Several major roads have also been closed.
Firefighting planes and helicopters were also deployed to extinguish the fires.
The fire started around midnight Wednesday. Local media reported that it had been dry and hot in the area in recent days.
The fire is spreading north-east of Tenerife, in the region of Aravu and Candelaria.
