For Sandra Oh, being the heroine of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ was ‘shocking’

sAndra Oh revealed that being the star of Grey’s Anatomy was “shocking.” The 50-year-old actress, who gave life to the character of Christina Yang in the 2005 and 2014 TV productions, admitted that this work had repercussions in her life, taking her to a new level in terms of fame.

“To be completely honest, it hurt. It was shocking.”, referenced in an interview with “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.”

“And the reason I say this is because of the circumstances in which you need to do your work, very private. So when anonymity is lost, you have to develop the skills to try to be authentic,” he explains.

“I went from not being able to leave the house, from hiding in restaurants, to being able to manage attention and expectations, while not losing my sense of myself,” she says.

At this point Sandra decided to focus on her mental health and visit a therapist to help her deal with all the stress.
