Emergency services responded to a house fire in a knife. Police reported that the house was set on fire, and that it was most likely an apartment building with several housing units.
– There are a number of cars in the area, they must be moved immediately, Surst Police District wrote on Twitter.

Injuries have been reported. The fire broke out in an apartment building in downtown Skien and there is a lot of smoke in the area.
The fire is still out of control. There is no risk of spreading. Thick smoke, so there are a number of nearby buildings that have been evacuated. How long they will be evacuated is somewhat unclear, says South East Police Director of Operations Roger Asser to NTB at 10:30 p.m.
The police received a report of the fire at 20:38. And they ask the residents of the area to close the windows and doors.
– No one was reported missing, and according to the witnesses we spoke to, no one was there, Asser says.

Telemark newspaper He writes that the same block of apartments burned down on January 12 this year. Forensic investigations showed that the fire subsequently broke out in two places and the assumption was that the fire was an arson.
