The English group Kantar, which specializes in marketing, studies and consulting services for brands, will set up in Porto and prepare to hire 200 professionals, with an investment of about 4.3 million euros.
Al-Kontar’s goal is to establish a regional center of competence that, by the end of 2022, should recruit fresh graduates in the areas of finance, human resources and procurement for the group. In the future, the English group aims to expand the competence center to include specialists in the technological field.
Among the reasons for choosing Invicta was Porto’s recent success in attracting and expanding several centers of competence. The display of multilingual talent, combined with the city’s technological infrastructure and a growing innovative ecosystem, has enhanced the decision on the site.

Kantar’s bet is facilitated by InvestPorto, a unit of the Porto Chamber created to promote high-value investments for the city’s growth.
The Kantar Group has partnered with recruitment firm Hays to identify and select employees for the new competency center. The new facilities are expected to be operational by the end of the first half of 2022.
Kantar is a multinational company with 27,000 employees worldwide, serving clients in more than 90 countries. In 2020, it recorded sales of more than 2.5 billion euros.
