“Nuts often get a bad rap because they are high in fat and cause allergic reactions,” he explained, but they should be eaten. They help reduce the risk of a number of diseases including cancer and diabetes.
To the journalist, Sze-Yen Tan, a physician at Deakin University in Australia, said that “including nuts in the diet does not have a significant impact on your body weight.” By the way, “Those who eat the most fruit tend to be underweight or have less fat.”
To justify his statement, the doctor explained that we do not absorb all the fat and energy from the nuts we consume. Eating this food also makes people feel full and thus adjusts to their next meal.
He concludes, “The third reason is that there are some studies showing that fruit consumption can actually increase the amount of energy the body burns.”
It was also revealed during the episode that eating this fruit has benefits for the brain, as a study was mentioned, as it concluded that individuals who ate it in larger quantities enjoyed short-term memory, fluency and better thinking speed.
