On Sunday, Special Counsel Jack Smith reportedly notified Trump that he is a target of a Justice Department investigation into attempts to alter the 2020 election.
The letter is a strong hint that Trump could be charged in the case, something he himself also wrote in a post on his own social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday.
There he wrote that such a letter “always means arrest and trial.”

Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Trump if he was upset about the investigations during a rally in Iowa earlier this week.
