Erin Maureen Lehman and her brother Michael Maureen sit in the auditorium near the front row and listen. The family received a personal invitation from President Trump to attend the rally Saturday night.

On August 5, 2023, their sister Rachel Maureen became Raped and killed.

Rachel, a mother of five and fitness enthusiast, had gone for a run on the popular Ma and Pa Heritage Trail in Maryland on Saturday night. When she never returned home, her boyfriend reported her to police. The next day her body was found.

“I was brutally raped and murdered,” Sister Irene Maureen Lehmann tells Netavision.

We meet an ordinary person after Trump’s rally in North Philadelphia in June. The suspect had been at large for ten months before police arrested a young man in Tulsa, Oklahoma, two weeks before Trump’s rally.

“It was a tough time,” Lehman says. “We tried to figure out who did this to her.”

– Fleeing across Biden's wide-open borders

The man is accused of rape and murder. He is said to have fled El Salvador to the United States. There he was wanted by police for the murder of another young woman. This also brings Trump to the stage.

– Police believe the animal that killed Rachel first killed another young woman in El Salvador, before escaping across Biden’s wide-open border. Wide open! Enter the United States! Trump shouts from the stage in his trademark theatrical style.

DNA taken from a Maryland crime scene also links the suspect to the attack on a mother and 9-year-old girl in Los Angeles earlier this year.

The accused is an illegal immigrant.

The accused man did not have legal residency in the United States.

“This man who killed Rachel was an illegal immigrant. We already have a crisis at the border. It’s heartbreaking. Every day we hear more of these cases in the news. Rachel wasn’t the first and she won’t be the last,” Maureen Lehman said.

She was present at the bail hearing for the accused young man.

“It was heartbreaking and upsetting. We trusted God and prayed for strength and comfort,” says Maureen Lehman. “I spend my time caring for Rachel’s five children.”

Attorney Amy Valdivia said in court that the man is innocent until proven guilty. She asked that he be released on bail so he could support his family financially. The judge denied the request.

Nettavisen tried to contact Valdivia for comment without success.

When news broke that a suspect had been arrested, Donald Trump called Erin's mother, Patti Morin. The presidential candidate must have wondered how the family was doing.

From the stage, Trump asked Rachel and her brother Michael to stand up. In front of several thousand people, Trump called them amazing people and praised them for their strength.

“They’ve been through hell. People say time, time, time. I don’t know if that’s the answer. Thank you Michael and Erin,” Trump said. “We grieve for Rachel and hope that God will ease their pain.”

The presidential candidate then attacks with an election promise and a strong attack on current President Joe Biden.

– We promise to secure the border so that this never happens again. But you know it's going to happen again because we have a guy who's incompetent. All he has to do is close the border. And he says he needs Congress. All he has to say is, 'Close the border,' as Trump says of Biden.

I haven't heard from Biden.

The disputed border with Mexico is one of the most important issues for Americans in this year’s election. In the past year alone, several undocumented immigrants have been arrested and/or charged with killing women and girls in the United States. The latest was in Houston, Texas, last week when a 12-year-old girl was killed.

Trump has more credibility than Biden when it comes to borders and border control, Civita advisor and US expert Eric Luke previously told Nettavisen.

While Trump calls bereaved families and invites them to marches, Biden remains silent.

– Have you heard anything from Biden?

“Nothing. Not a word. He probably won’t know how to pronounce her name. Maybe that’s just because I’d rather you not say my sister’s name if you can’t pronounce it,” says Maureen Lehman.

Earlier this year, nursing student Lakin Riley was killed in Atlanta. She, like Rachel Morin, was out jogging when she was attacked and killed. The male suspect in that case is also an undocumented immigrant. He pleads not guilty.

Republicans in the state, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, were outraged and demanded that Biden say her name. When Biden mentioned her in his State of the Union address several days after her death, he managed to call Laken Riley “Linkin” Riley.

Laken Riley's family also attended a Trump rally and expressed their support for Donald Trump. But father Jason Riley also criticized the use of his daughter's name to score political points by politicians.
