Donald Trump, Golf | Response to Donald Trump's phallic statement: – Unacceptable

It is widely known that the former US President is fond of golf, so perhaps it is not surprising that he referred to a legendary golfer in one of his speeches.

However, it's what Trump says about golf icon Arnold Palmer that has many responding. The 78-year-old chose to talk about Arnold's genitals.

-Arnold Palmer was a real man. “I like women, but Palmer was a real man,” Trump said.

Trump continued: “When he showered with the other professionals, they came out and said, ‘Oh my God, this is unbelievable.’”

Big name in the USA

Palmer was one of the biggest stars in golf in the 1950s and 1960s. At the same time, television found its way into the American home, making Palmer a major figure in the United States.

In all, he won seven major championships between 1958 and 1964, including four Masters, one US Open and two The Open.

Palmer died in 2016 at the age of 87.

The daughter reacts

One of those who reacted to Trump's remarks about Palmer's finer parts is the daughter of golf icon Paige Palmer Wears.

“Standing in the airport, named after my father, and having to talk about stereotypical wardrobe tales…it feels disrespectful and inappropriate,” she says. ABC.

Palme's daughter believes Trump should instead talk about how to solve the various challenges the United States faces when he talks to people.

The people who come to these speeches deserve substance and to hear about Trump's plans as a candidate. He could prepare threats that he made against people. There are important things to discuss before people go to vote. Using my parents to avoid important things is unacceptable to me, she says.
