The goalkeeper spoke about the Dragons and his first steps in football at Pinheirinhos de Ringe
FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa took his first steps in football at Pinheirinhos de Renge.
“I came from a club where there were not a lot of conditions, but what we wanted, and what we had, was this passion to be able to play with the ball, and to start learning how to play as a team. These are very good and healthy memories, especially with a club like Pinheirinhos de Ringe , which very few people knew. “But anything is possible,” said the goalkeeper who broke the record for the most consecutive penalty kicks saved in the Champions League group stage. The three penalties he stopped have now been turned into solidarity gestures, In a joint effort between FC Porto and UEFA, signed by the goalkeeper.
Regarding FC Porto: “It is a family club, a club that I love very much and it has always been a pleasure to be part of this club. I want to show where I come from and show kids that anything is possible.
The three million-dollar penalties defended in last season’s league have now been transformed into three solidarity initiatives, in a joint action between FC Porto and UEFA.
This season, the 24-year-old Portuguese international has played 14 times for the Blue and White.
