Did I make a mistake in the message? This Google resource can help a lot

Are you using an Android cell phone? If yes, it means you will be able to use Google Messages app frequently. After all, it is a complete and easy-to-use application.

The latest news is that a message editing tool may be on its way to the public. According to Phone Arena, beta users can now try this out.

The feature allows editing up to 15 minutes after the first submission

However, be careful: messages can only be edited 15 minutes after they are sent. However, it is a tool that can be very useful, especially in cases where you make a mistake.

All things considered, it may happen that you send a message to person A that was intended for person B. Currently, the feature is being tested, but it will be an added value for many users.

As mentioned earlier, this feature can only be used by those who have the trial version. Coming from the same source, the function can only be used if it is exchanged between two beta users. If it is not one of them, it is no longer possible.

Having said that, there's a question: How do you know if you're a beta user of the Messages app? Apparently, all you have to do is follow a small set of steps: Settings > Apps > Messages.

The tool is only available to certain users and it is possible to find out if you are one of them

Then you have to scroll to the bottom of the screen. There, you will have information about the version of the application you are using. According to Phone Arena, you should see something like this: “messages.android_20240506_04-RC00.phone.openbeta_dynamiccom.google.android.apps.messaging”.

One person who didn't miss this feature is the popular X user, named @AssembleDebug. In a publication he issued himselfThis shows what this new tool looks like. You can see the post below.

Remember, this is not the first time the ability to edit Google messages has been mentioned. At the time, there was talk of a usable editing time of 30 minutes. It looks like the time has changed to 15 minutes.

Although the liberalization period has been shortened by half, it is expected that the arrival of this resource will be viewed with “favourable eyes.” We'll just have to wait and see if (and when) the tool reaches the general public.
