Sporting and Coventry agreed the final details of the striker’s transfer on Friday
It took a while…but it did: Gyökeres will really be a boost for Sporting, you know registerAfter the Lions agreed on Friday on the final details of the deal with Coventry, which was concluded with an amount that could reach 24 million euros, in total fixed compensation (20 million euros) with variables according to goals (4 million euros).
Indeed, the last and crucial points in the negotiations were determined in the past few hours and opened the way for the exchange of documents between the clubs, more than a month after the Swedish striker’s name was placed at the top of the list. One of the priorities is to strengthen the attack of the greens and whites. From what our newspaper could have imagined, the official transfer should take place within the next week.
With the iron arm open, Gyökeres can finally prepare to head to Alvalade, where he has a valid 5-season contract waiting for him – naturally, he will not take part in Coventry’s pre-season training camp, which starts on Saturday, in the Algarve.
