The Dacia reported on Monday that as of March, a hybrid drive is available on the Jogger, the Romanian brand’s model known to be available with a seven-seat option.
The Jogger Hybrid 140, Dacia’s first hybrid, arrives at dealerships in March, but customers can expect and order it from January.
Pricing was revealed by Dacia, and since it’s only available in the seven-seater SL Extreme version, it starts at €28,800. The brand claims that this is the “most affordable hybrid family car on the market.”
Available in the six colors present, to mark the launch of this hybrid there will be a Slate Gray version – as you can see in the images above.
The Jogger is equipped with a four-cylinder petrol engine, with a displacement of 1.6 liters and 90 hp of power, and is also powered by two electric motors (50 hp motor and a high-voltage starter / generator). The total power is 140 hp. The electric gearbox is automatic, with four speeds, which are mated to the combustion engine, and two speeds, which are connected to the electric motor. This compact technology was only possible, according to Dacia, thanks to the lack of a clutch.
Combined with the energy recovery levels of the 1.2 kWh (230 V) battery and the efficiency of the automatic transmission, regenerative braking enables all-electric propulsion in 80% of urban commutes and saves up to 40% in fuel, compared to a motor vehicle. internal combustion engine.
