The municipality of Jales, through the municipal health secretary and its endemic disease sector, participates throughout the month in the campaign to combat and control arboviruses, which is being promoted by the Minister of State for Health, with the aim of educating the population about the dangers of HIV. Care must be taken to avoid this problem.
Arboviruses are arboviruses, transmitted mainly by mosquitoes, such as Aedes Aegypti, which causes dengue, Zika and Chikungunya. If these diseases are not treated timely and properly, they can cause great complications to our health.
Therefore, many actions are carried out in the municipality, especially in Fight Week, which is celebrated between March 20 and 25. Among the actions spearheaded by the Municipality of Jales is another edition of the Jales + Clean campaign, in partnership with the Municipal Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock, Catering and the Environment; As well as the production and dissemination of informational materials, including video, through the Municipality’s Social Media Department.
It is important to stress that population input is essential to prevent the spread of arthropod-borne viruses, strictly following the top tips for avoiding mosquito breeding sites: keep the water tank tightly closed and cleaned regularly, dispose of used tires at the collection point, remove objects from the yard that accumulate water, such as Pots and bottles, use pot plants that do not accumulate water and store materials for recycling in a covered bag.
If you have any symptoms of dengue, zika or chikungunya, it is extremely important for the patient to seek out a health service to receive proper diagnosis and treatment, all of which is provided completely and free of charge through the Unified Health System (SUS).
The aim of the campaign is to mobilize the population to unite an action team against the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The initiative aims to involve civil society, municipalities and public and private organizations in a coordinated action throughout the state of São Paulo, with the aim of eliminating places where mosquitoes breed,” said the municipal health minister, Nilva Gomez Rodríguez de Souza.
