Chagas Freitas' son returns to the “Bloc”. “We are torn apart but nothing will destroy us”

BInjamim, the son of Pedro Chagas Freitas, has undergone surgery again. In a new post on social media, the writer talks about the boy's condition, just days after he underwent a liver transplant.

“Today, another visit to the building, what nonsense,” he begins writing.

“Everything will be fine, perhaps, but the constant descent into the depths of fear is very difficult. We are torn apart, but nothing can destroy us. “When we live in a situation like this, we are made of a material that breaks, and until then we remain destroyed. It's not even an effort. It's natural,” he highlights.

“We are on our knees, we don’t even know how to walk one step at a time, dragging ourselves through the hospital corridors, but all Benjamin needs is our strength to run like crazy, to search for what he is searching for to feel better,” still matters.

Finally, Chagas Freitas highlights the importance of love in this process: “We are zombies filled with light, ghosts who emerge from the sun, not from the darkness. It may seem like a sacrifice, but only to those who do not love. For those who love, that is all love is.”
