HTC has finally unveiled its new all-in-one augmented reality headset: the HTC Vive XR Elite. The device has already been shown for the first time during CES 2023 It was leaked in December 2022with analyzes stating that the device will compete with Meta Quest 2, Meta version.

It also has a 4K resolution with 2K displays for each eye, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 110-degree field of view – front and side cameras, as well as an RGB version on the front to support mixed reality experiences. The glasses also pack a Snapdragon XR 2 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 120GB ROM to store games and content locally. The HTC headset is aimed at both entertainment, such as gaming and other exercises.
Thanks to the very flexible removable fabric design that is easy to clean and change, the device also looks very comfortable. Another interesting detail, for those who wear glasses, it will not be superfluous to stay with a vision corrector to use the headset: it has a built-in diopter, a unit of measurement that indicates the refractive power of the lenses.
From improved directional sound to batteries that last longer and also charge faster, the Vive XR Elite promises to be the most technologically advanced on the market, without giving up already known practical functions, such as connecting to a phone or PC using USB-C. Plus, it can be folded like a pair of sunglasses and stored in a small travel bag.
In terms of content, HTC claims that there will be more than 100 games available at launch.
The expectation is that the HTC Vive XR Elite will be on shelves starting in February for $1,099 USD — about R$5,800 in the current conversion.
