One day after seeing her house gutted by fire, Cara Delevingne can now breathe a sigh of relief. The British model and actress used her social media on Saturday (16) to show that her two cats were rescued by firefighters. In a photo she posted, the exact moment can be seen when the professional appears with the animal wrapped in a towel in the outer area of the dwelling already covered in ash. She followed everything remotely, as she was in London, England, on business.
In another photo that Cara shared, one of her cats appears on her mother Pandora Delevingne's lap, while firefighters work in the background. Thanks to the efforts of those concerned, the cats were not harmed. For this reason, yesterday the model sent a message to the team. He wrote on his Instagram page: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and people who came to help.”
The R$35 million Cara mansion caught fire on Friday 15. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, it took two hours of work to contain the fire and 94 specialists were transported – one of whom was taken to hospital with a small wound. Another person at the scene was also taken to hospital, but was in minor discomfort due to the smoke. The building was completely destroyed, and the roof collapsed.
Charles Delevingne, Cara's father, told the local press that the investigation into the causes of the fire was still early. However, they revealed that everything indicates that the fire was caused by electrical problems and a short circuit. According to him, “something fell” on a power line after “strong winds” in the area. The Los Angeles Police Department, in turn, issued a report stating that after initial assessments, “there is no indication of arson or a criminal investigation at this time.”
When she saw the flames consuming her home, Cara turned to social media to vent. “My heart is broken. I can't believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye. Appreciate what you have,” he said.
