Capcom has revealed some new details of Zangief’s moves in the game Street Fighter 6 In a video on social media.
Zangief finally gets an Overdrive (EX) version of his Double Lariat, which can also be downgraded to Super with his Level 2 – Cyclone Lariat. This is likely the first time the developers have given it a Lariat EX, and that brings with it a host of new implications for how you can use it. Given that double flare is usually performed with all three hole buttons, the move would have to do something different for Overdrive.
boss SF6Takayuki Nakayama confirmed that Zangief’s Super Lv 1 is called Aerial Russian Slam, which appears to act as an anti-air and as an extension of his Level 2. The new video also shows that the Cyclone Lariat has two different versions. The first trailer showed him hitting a pose and slamming Honda to the ground.
second NakayamaZangief will continue to spin and launch the opponent into the air if the player presses the DOWN button after activating the Super.
In other words, what happens in the video is Lariat in his Overdrive version, which quickly cancels out to Super Lv 2. By hitting the activation button for that Super, Zangief doesn’t grab the opponent and throws them into the air. The show ended with Super Lv 1.
