The new device is part of the expansion of the brand’s remote control line and is designed to assist producers and broadcasters looking for a certain autonomy for their equipment, which is provided in the CR-N700 thanks to the two additional applications accompanying the launch, allowing automatic tracking and automatic looping.

Canon CR-N700 launched in India

Canon’s CR-N Group hopes to meet the growing demand for content production and live broadcasting by offering its customers devices that allow them to meet different requirements. Check out some of the features of the Canon CR-N700 below:

  • Support high quality 4K/60P/4:2:2/10-bit video recording;
  • Allows HDR recording in HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) or PQ (Sensory Quantization) formats;
  • xx zoom lens
  • 1.0 inch CMOS sensor;
  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF, Eye Detection AF, and Head Detection AF (features that allow the camera to identify and track fast-moving objects).

Auto tracking and auto loop

New features available along with the launch of the CR-N700 are designed so that the consumer can improve productivity and reduce remote production workload and workforce. Implementing these tools will allow operators to focus on tasks such as camera switching and content delivery without the need for additional equipment such as servers or computers.

With Auto Tracking, the remote camera automatically tracks speakers or other selected people during production, whether it’s business presentations, lectures or events, for example. An in-camera visual analysis system allows you to shoot from multiple perspectives, including full body, upper body, shoulders up, and more.

Auto Loop allows the remote camera to repeat the precise Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) setting motions that operators typically make when broadcasting events such as sports competitions, interviews, TV commercials, and movies. Parameter adjustments are made and configured to determine the position and duration of pauses at each point, the path is configured to determine the animation speed, and other operations including preview and start.

Mr. Manabu Yamazaki, President and CEO of Canon India, stated that the Canon CR-N700, along with its auto-tracking and auto-repeat features, will be the perfect choice for various industries including broadcasting, rental, education, reality TV, and sports. He also confirmed that with this model and the two new applications, Canon is pushing the boundaries of video production, expanding its user base across multiple sectors and solidifying its position as an industry leader.
