Calafiore's ex-girlfriend announces split, move to Arsenal

From Italy comes unusual news that affects the transfer market. There was already talk in the press about the imminent transfer of Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal, from England, leaving Bologna, from the Italian league. And even before the official confirmation, an “official” confirmation appeared.

This came from the player's ex-girlfriend, Benedetta Buemi, who announced not only the breakup, but also the athlete's move to Arsenal, via social media.

He said in a long statement that the two were no longer together and that he would not go with Calafiore to England. He justified this by the athlete's alleged betrayal on the island of Ibiza:

“Thank you to everyone who brought this video to my attention that went viral on TikTok this week. I thanked them, it was important to me to know the truth. I’ve seen it so many times, and I’ve been looking for a reason to forgive, but I couldn’t. It was a hard decision for me, and none of us wanted to. But what happened happened. I will not tolerate any form of hate towards me or him.”

He finally wrote: “I wish you the best for Arsenal, you have my full support.”
