Braga loses to Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League with a lackluster performance – Europa League

FC Braga lost to Bodo/Glimt (1-2), in the third round of the Europa League, in a match in which they were never able to impose their game and only enjoyed the brilliance they have already shown in 2024/25. The goal came in the last match of the match from Nielsen, who entered near the end.

The first half was balanced, but coach Carlos Carvalhal's team succeeded in maintaining a slight lead, creating more danger than its opponent. However, ineffectiveness was the team's watchword, and prevented them from opening the scoring in the first 45 minutes.

The appeal brought in another SC Braga player, more active and proactive, who quickly received a bucket of cold water. Evjen finished a quick counterattack in the best way and left the advantage to the Norwegians after the team's first shot.

Shortly afterwards, Zinkernagel could have extended the lead with a 45-metre run alone, but Matthäus stepped up and held off his rival, keeping Braga in the game.

The brilliant Brazilian defense seemed to wake up the team, who equalized the score a few minutes later with a rare goal from Nyakati, who appeared in the right place to level the score at 1-1. But the French-Malian went from hero to villain very quickly, receiving two yellow cards in two minutes and contributing to the team's training in the last 20 minutes of the match.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, SC Braga never backed down and always tried to gain the advantage, but was facing a strong defense from Bodo/Glimt.

As the end approached, Bruma took victory on their feet but the Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper made a miraculous save to preserve the score. In the last play of the match, Nielsen responded in the best way to a perfect corner kick and scored the winning goal for the Norwegians.
