A business group in Braga honored the children of its employees who achieved the best academic results. More than 25 children and young people, children of employees of TLCI, Mobile World, ULIVE and UAPGO, received “smartphones”, “tablets”, sound bands and “smart watches”.
In a statement sent to O MINHO, the business group explained that the initiative, titled “Os Extraordinários,” took place last Wednesday, at the Fundação Serralves, in Porto.
The ceremony, which is held annually, brings together “more than 25 children, teenagers and their families (…) with the aim of rewarding the children of employees who have shown the best academic results in the academic year, from the fourth to the twelfth.” study years”.
“This year, in addition to academic merit, students who excelled in extracurricular activities, especially in the artistic, sports or cultural fields, were also honored,” the statement said.
The Serralves Foundation was the venue chosen to promote this initiative this year, due to its “involvement and potential in promoting contemporary art, culture, environmental education and critical thinking on topics relevant to society.”
“This event, which always aims to be educational, motivational and moving, began on Wednesday afternoon with a guided tour of the Fundação gardens and the Casa de Serralves, where they had the opportunity to explore the Joan Miró and Alexander Calder exhibition, after the exhibition. The award and diploma ceremony was held in the magnificent library , culminating in a light meal among the families, children and young people present,” says the business group.
In line with the companies’ philosophy and field of activity, the awards covered the digital field and were supported by the brands Samsung, Alcatel and Maxcom, which presented “smartphones”, “tablets”, audio bands and “smart watches”.
The business group has been implementing this initiative since 2016, seeking “to play an educational role with youth and children, promoting the core values that make all children exceptional: commitment, ethics, commitment, perseverance and creativity.”
