BOLA – SAD obligated to pay Nelton Varela to the Belenenses (Belenenses SAD)

The administration led by Rui Pedro Soares saw the ruling of the Arbitration Committee (CA) of the Portuguese Football Federation confirmed by the Constitutional Court, obligating it to pay €30,797.26 to Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses for the training rights of Nilton Varela, who played for the Restelo club between 2012 and 2019, Which is the year he moved to Belenenses SAD.

Azules do Jamor appealed to the CA, in addition to the “non-compliance with the payment of training rights by a sports company for its constituent club”, the unconstitutionality of compensation for training. Because the appeal was not accepted, Sade complained to the Constitutional Court, but it was not accepted. According to the Raton Palace judges, the Supreme Court has not “shown itself that it is under an obligation to know what is allegedly unconstitutional.” [«declarou-se, aliás, materialmente incompetente para as conhecer e conheceu o litígio ao abrigo da norma legal e das normas regulamentares»]».

In this way, the administration led by Rui Pedro Soares now has to settle this debt by April 10, or else it will be prevented from registering players.
