Four health centers will open in Belo Horizonte on Saturday (3/6). The units will take care of children and adults, preferably with symptoms of dengue, chikungunya or respiratory illnesses, and vaccination against influenza and COVID-19.
The units to be inaugurated are those in the provinces: Barreiro de Cima, São Paulo, São Cristóvão and Rio Branco. Business hours are from 8 am to 5 pm.
Children, who can be vaccinated against influenza this Saturday, must be accompanied by parents or guardians and present, preferably, an identity document with photo, birth certificate and vaccination card.
Belo Horizonte City Hall points out that there are no contraindications to taking the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines on the same day. And if a person has already received any of them on any day before the Sabbath, there is no need to wait for a period of time to receive the others.
Dengue numbers
As of Friday, 5,803 cases of dengue have been confirmed in Belo Horizonte. And the municipal health department is investigating another 14,987 possible infections. Three deaths from the disease have already been recorded.
Regarding chikungunya, 3,086 cases have been confirmed and another 1,408 are still based on laboratory results. So far there are no deaths. In addition, 37 people were infected with the Zika virus.
