The Portuguese Football Federation announced on Friday that goalkeeper Bernardo Paco (Sporting) will replace the injured Edu in the futsal team's squad for friendly matches with Slovenia.
Bernardo Paco, 23, has been part of the squad for the final two rounds of the elite tour to reach the 2024 World Cup, with Finland and Georgia, but is yet to make his international debut.
Portugal will start against Slovenia next Thursday (9pm), followed by a new match on April 13 (7:30pm), the following Saturday, both scheduled at Pavilhão Maltiusos de Odivelas.
The matches are part of the preparation plan for the final stage of the 2024 World Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan, during the period from September 14 to October 6, 2024.
