Benfica wastes no time and concludes an agreement with Grimaldo’s replacement

a Benfica found out on Monday that Alex Grimaldo will not be staying at Luz for next season and wasted no time in closing the deal for the player who will replace the Spaniard from next summer.

According to the Record newspaper, Al-Nusour has already concluded an agreement with youngster Milos Kerkez. The 19-year-old is coveted by several clubs in Europe’s top five leagues, but has given the go-ahead for a move to the red team.

However, according to the same source, there are rough edges with AZ Alkmaar. The Dutch club are aware of the potential in Milos Kerkez and will make it difficult for the Hungarian to leave. The Eagles offered €10 million, plus an amount depending on the goals.

The value proposition met the expectations of the Dutch, but AZ Alkmaar has superior proposals for the Hungarian international arriving over the past few days. In this sense, Benfica and the Dutch club are expected to sit down to talk about the deal.
