Today, Benfica tied 2-2 with its French guest, Etoile Lavaloise, in the first round of Group D of the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League, in which it lost 2-0.

Although Benfica, champions of the 2009/10 season and who had reached the quarter-finals the previous two years, had, in theory, a favourite, the French were always more dangerous and fired in the first half and ended up putting themselves ahead. Last minute of the first half by Lutin.

In the second half, Benfica continued to have more possession of the ball, but Etoile Lavaloise continued to be dangerous in transitions, and in a good attacking combination, Mouhoudin (27) increased the difference.

In the last eight minutes, the Reds succeeded in equalizing through Rocha (33) and Afonso Jesus (36), but they were unable to complete the conversion in the final moments.

The other main round of Group D matches includes FK Dubovic and United Galati from Romania, with the top three from each group qualifying for the elite round.
