We can always count on Bang & Olufsen to provide us with sound quality mixed with unexpected elegance. The new B & O Beosound Emerge is an example: “book or column?” Is how the brand itself begins to describe this highly decorative column.
The unexpected design by Benjamin Hubert’s hands apparently has a very close alliance between style and luxurious materials, with the gold version featuring wood panels and a Kvadrat fabric cover. With this cool material, we can expect to pay 799 euros, while the black version that replaces chipboard with plastic and removes fabric will be cheaper, at 599 euros.
Designed to provide sound quality with minimal space, Beosound Emerge even calls up a book and blends easily into any interior. The soft-dome 14mm woofer fires forward, while the 100mm woofer emits sound from the backside for greater sound dispersion that can fill any room with greater ease.
Connectivity is a very important point for Beosound Emerge, which combines WLAN and Bluetooth with a 10/100 Ethernet port, single line, USB-C power, and micro UBS service port. This is in a replaceable contact unit as technology develops over the next few years. The Emerge can of course be paired with other speakers via Apple Play or Google Assistant.
