Round two of the Junior, Junior and Absolute National Championships featured three absolute national records at the Olympic Swimming Complex in Coimbra. Miguel Nascimento, in the 50 freestyle, Joao Costa, in the 100 backstroke, and Camila Rebelo, in the 100 backstroke, were numbers for the day as they won the finals in a row, with a maximum for Portugal and a minimum for the Europeans and World Cup.
Round two, of the four games that make up this tournament, also featured the junior national record held by Carolina Fernandez in the 100 freestyle swims, a minimum for the European Championship in this category. And Diogo Ribeiro, who yesterday won the 100 freestyle with an absolute record, ahead of Miguel Nascimento, and today he finished second in the 50 freestyle with a national junior and minimum record for Europe and the junior world, after fellow player Benfica.
