Benfica (1-1) equalized the final match of the Volleyball League by defeating Fonte do Bastardo, on Saturday night, in Pavelhau No. 2 of the Estadio da Luz, in Lisbon, 3-2, in the second match. This is the crucial stage for assigning the national title.
The red team, which lost the opening match, last Sunday, on the island of Terceira, the Azores, also after five sets (3-2), was victorious in the ‘black’ against the formation of the island, with the following parts: 25-19, 18-25 and 23 -25, 25-16, and 15-12.
Followed by the third match of this final, and the second at Benfica Stadium, in which three matches can be held at home in the event of the need to break the tie (2-2) due to the status of the first place in the previous (second) stage. League (Italian League).
In this match, the Eagles won the first set (25-19), but were overtaken in the next two sets (18-25 and 23-25) by the Azores, which put Lisbon under pressure for the fourth set.
