Abel Ferreira tied with Bragantino (1-1), in the last round of the group stage of the São Paulo State Championship. The Portuguese coach justified the equality of Palmeiras with the issue of effectiveness.
“We started well, scored and had chances to draw. We did enough for that, but in football what makes the difference is the effectiveness, especially in the final result. We played a good game and deserved to win, albeit with one less,” he explained.
Deverson turned out to be both a hero and a villain for Palmeiras. The former Benfica striker tied the match with a penalty kick, in the 82nd minute, and in the next minute he was sent off for protesting with the referee. A situation that did not please Abel Ferreira.
“He gives everything on the field. He played his part, got a very good penalty and was calm in a critical moment, but then he didn’t have such an attitude. He is a kind heart, but he should change the behavior because we have suffered in the last 10 minutes needlessly. He knows he made a mistake and he apologized and we will help him while he is here because we love everyone.”

Deverson said something to Flavio Rodriguez de Souza and took the color red.
