Polish studio The Dust is working on "I, The Inquisitor," their next project, a game about the Inquisition and the dark times you grew up in.
The story "I, the Detective" is based on the book series of the same name by Polish author Jacek Pekara and reveals an alternate truth of biblical history.
In this alternate story, Jesus manages to escape from the cross where he was crucified by the Romans and decides to take revenge on the infidels who betrayed him, threaten him, and tarnish his credibility.
The events of "I, the Inquisitor" take place 1,500 years after these events, at a time when there are new "Inquisitions", adapting this new biblical story.
These new inquisitors roam the earth with one goal: to persecute and slaughter everyone who opposes the church and thus perpetuate Jesus' revenge.
It is an atmosphere of eternal terror that has taken hold of the planet and in this environment players find themselves immersed in "I am the Detective".
The game, as can be seen, presents a strong narrative and introduces the player to the peaceful city of Königstein during the 16th century.
Here, in this peaceful and unexpected land, the player takes on the role of a detective named Mordemer Madderdin who is sent by the Holy See to this small town in an attempt to investigate a murder suspected to be a ritual death. Following in the footsteps of the killer, the player will have to find clues and clues and conduct brutal and ruthless interrogations to uncover the truth.
The course of interrogations will be of absolute freedom for the player. Whether by cunning or by force, anything is done in the search for truth and our detective is the lawyer, judge, and executioner on many occasions. Along the way, many difficult decisions will have to be made but this is part of the job that will lead us in a non-linear adventure which is built according to those decisions and actions taken by the player.
You still have to visit the dangerous Unworld. This is the other dimension Mordemer can travel to and discover the secrets hidden in the most hidden corners of the suspects. However, it is a perilous place where a dark force awaits the moment of freedom and only faith can keep Mordemer safe in the Unworld.
Along the way, countless enemies will also appear that will put the detective's faith, cunning, and skill to the test.
"I, the Inquisitor" will be released for PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X, and Playstation 5.
