Automatic Coupon: Announcing an Extension of Support Leads to Hundreds of Thousands of Subscriptions – News

“Since its extension until April, which occurred on March 25, 336,000 taxpayers have joined the automated voucher program,” said an official source at the Ministry of Finance in response to Lusa.

Having decided in March to increase from 10 to 40 cents a liter, up to a maximum of 50 liters per month, the reimbursement to taxpayers registered with IVAucher, the government announced that the measure will be kept in April, and will continue at the level of 40 cents a liter.

The extension of this support through this month was justified by the fact that the “assumptions that determined feature creation” for the automated coupon remain in effect.

Launched at the beginning of November, the automated voucher is designed to run for five months, until March, providing a refund of 10 cents per liter for a maximum of 50 liters of fuel per month, the amount (the equivalent of five euros) paid with the first supply of the month.

Higher fuel prices prompted the government to boost subsidies to 40 cents per liter in March, a measure that was accompanied by an increase in the number of countries joining the programme.

According to the rules of procedure, a person who joined in March, but only uses the feature in April, this month will receive a total of 40 euros in payment with the first offer.

For those who join during the month of April, the total benefit is €20.

At the end of March, payments through the automated voucher had already reached 66.89 million euros.
