While there are reports of new attacks on both Ukraine and Russia tonight, military experts are closely monitoring what is happening on the front south of the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia.
Ukraine pushed into the town of Verbov, and also appears to have destroyed an important supply route for Russian soldiers in the area.
Targeted attack
– It is an attack with small movements, but it is targeted. With their attacks, they are forcing the Russians to expose themselves in a way that allows Ukraine to attack with artillery and drones, Lieutenant Colonel Bali Yedstepo tells NRK.

Attack on Odessa

A high-rise building in the city caught fire after the attack, but it was quickly extinguished. There was no one living in the building. The extent of the damage after the attack is not yet clear.
The Ukrainian Air Force says it shot down 19 Don missiles and 11 Russian missiles on Monday evening.
Ukrainian attack on Russia
There were also reports of a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Kursk region. Several residential buildings and an administrative building were damaged, according to local authorities. The scale of the Ukrainian attack was also not clear Monday morning. Kursk lies on the border with Ukraine to the east.
Drone warfare
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it was able to neutralize four drones over the northwestern part of the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula on Monday. There were no reports of damage.
Two drones launched from Ukraine were reportedly shot down over Belgorod.
