“AEW should be different from other companies.”

Jon Moxley is one of the main figures in AEW and has been someone who defends the company whenever he can.

In the interview with Liam Crawley of ComicBook, in addition to saying that he doesn’t see CM Punk returning to WWE, Jon Moxley stated that AEW should be different from all other companies.

When it comes to fights like this [Texas DeathMatch entre Swerve Strickland e “Hangman” Adam Page]It’s something we can do differently than any other company.

That was something I remember saying to Tony Khan when I arrived. “If you’re going to put me in one of these fights, be careful what you wish for, because I’m not in the business of not doing what I promised.”. I don’t say things like: “I will crush your skull with my fingers and gouge out your eyes.” And then I won’t do it.

AEW has managed to achieve this consistently. I think it’s very important for us to always remember where this started, which is the industry’s need for an alternative. We must always be different.

We should always think about what we can offer that no one else can. Otherwise we’ll just be another wrestling company, like everyone else. Not all fights have to involve cutting off each other’s heads.

But it’s a small thing and I feel like I’ve done my part in this small line of work. If you can’t be first in a category, create a new category where you can be first.
