AEW reveals Continental Classic wrestlers and groups

AEW has announced a new Continental Classic tournament at Collision on November 11, which will begin on Dynamite next Wednesday and will have its final at the latter. Pay per view This year in AEW, the end of the world is on December 30th.

After Bryan Danielson and Andrade El Edolo were announced to be participating in the tournament, at Full Gear last Saturday, Eddie Kingston, Mark Briscoe and the rules were announced.

Tony Khan, Tony Schiavone and ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston revealed this Wednesday the twelve fighters who will compete in the Continental Classic and their respective groups. are they:

Golden League

Blue League

  • Brian Danielson
  • Andrade L. Edolo
  • Brody King
  • Claudio Castagnoli
  • Daniel Garcia
  • Eddie Kingston

Thus, the tournament consists of two groups of 6 fighters each, with everyone fighting against each other. Each win gives 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a defeat 0 points. Fights last a maximum of 20 minutes and interference is prohibited.

It was also made clear that Eddie Kingston’s titles would not be on the line in all matches, but the winner of the tournament would retain the title representing victory in this Intercontinental Classic, uniting them with the ROH World Championship and the powerful NJPW Championship.

Finally, it was announced that the dynamite match will be held next Wednesday in the first round of the Golden League, where the three tournament matches will be as follows:

  • Rush vs. Jay White
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Jay Lethal
  • Jon Moxley vs. Mark Briscoe
